I've read probably about half of it and it was all of very high quality. Check out the table of contents and see if any of the chapters are relevant to your needs. It might be useful, particularly after you've read the other books. Loudspeaker and Headphone Handbook is a collection of chapters by different authors on specific subjects in loudspeakers/headphones. But the information is so valuable that I think it's worth the time and effort. Unfortunately, it's also one of the more boring and poorly written books on the topic (and this coming from someone who has read more than his fair share of boring and poorly written books). It's of great practical help in understanding what things like the Thiele-Small parameters mean, how to properly test for them, how to test speakers in non-anechoic environments, FFT gating, etc. Testing Loudspeakers by Joseph D'Appolito is one of the best. He also is the person who does the "test bench" articles in Voice Coil Magazine, so he has a lot of experience with measurements. Loudspeaker Design Cookbook by Vance Dickason is more in the "DIY' category, but he discusses a lot of general principles as well. There is good stuff on speaker/room interaction as well. However, it's not intended as a "DIY speaker" book, so you won't come away from reading it with a definite design in mind so much as a broader understanding of the issues involved in designing a speaker system. Parallel Resistor Combination Calculator from Daycounter, Inc.Loudspeakers by Philip Newell is an excellent overview of topics in speaker design such as crossovers, directivity, characteristics of driver materials, magnet types, etc. Speaker Builder Calculators from by SPEAKERBUILDER|DK Daycounter Further more - the latest development of the model provides a simple mean of including damping in the suspension into the model, giving better agreement with reality on the velocity of the driver at low frequencies, as well as better agreement with the impedance, meaning the model is better to predict the low-frequency roll-off. The model expands the electrical side of the loudspeaker with additionally 3 components.

The model expands the old Lumped Parameter model, as presented by Albert Neville Thiele and Richard H. These additions are implemented in a minimal way, but enough to design systems fairly in agreement with reality.

The spreadsheet includes a simple model of the baffle step and a way of applying a passive crossover, first or second order, to visualize the effect of the crossover onto the response of the complete system. Scan-Speak now provides advanced parameters on their driver data sheets.
